Buster's Story, Our Family

Buster’s Beginnings at 2 Dogs on a Mission

I had recently lost my beloved rescue “Leo” at 17 years old. I only had him for 1-½ years, since nobody would adopt him due to his being a senior. Leo was a Jack Russell Terrier who had been badly abused and was a biter, but I kept him until it was time for him to go to doggy heaven.

Shortly after Leo’s passing I was asked to adopt another biter from “Dunedin Doggy Rescue.” I was not ready for another dog, but after hearing Buster’s story, and knowing that he is a biter, I said “yes.” I was told that his original owners gave him up because they did not like his eyes. What a poor excuse for giving a dog away. Then his second home also gave him back to the rescue for other reasons. While being fostered, it did not look very promising that he was going to find a new permanent home. After going to my vet and being thoroughly checked, Buster came out with flying colors. Other than biting and being very head strong, he is an extremely healthy senior canine. Long story short: Buster is now with me and will stay with me. Buster, I love you!
